How to be a Lady (a pirate ship version).
For the Original Characters at Their Best Contest: [link]
Features the Pretty Captive as a main heroine. Since being a lady is what she does best. Or maybe it is a pirate ship where she is at her best?
She was a fine lady of a proper upbringing and a decent amount of womanly talents until she was captured by pirates who attacked the ship with her on board. Now she is discovering how to stay a proper lady on a ship.
Also - in supporting roles - features the Brave Captain (the one who captured her), the Dirty Frenchman (his worst foe) and the young midshipman Willis (who doesn't really have anything special about himself).
The Captive is an original character from tales that my husband and I are writing for each other.
